About
I'm Robert Chandler (or just Chandler as my friends call me). I've been playing Warhammer 40k for about 5 years now regularly, but my first foray into the hobby was back in the mid-90's in the grim dark days of 2nd edition. My first army was Blood Angels back in the old days when they were wrapped up into the same codex as Dark Angels in Codex: Angels of Death.
I left the hobby for many years, but returned towards the end of 5th edition, once again playing my favorite army, Blood Angels. In particular the fluff of the Flesh Tearers successor chapter really appealed to me. It wasn't long before I was fully sucked into the plastic crack addiction again!
Since then I've moved on to other armies including Chaos Space Marines (I played a Thousand Sons army mostly throughout 6th edition), Eldar, Dark Angels and Khorne Daemonkin. Over the past few years I've been pretty involved in my local competitive scene playing in and sometimes organizing local RTTs for my FLGS as well as campaigns and leagues.
In addition I am a contributor for Frontline Gaming in which I write Codex and Army Reviews as well as opinion editorials on the hobby of Warhammer 40k. Servants of Ruin is more of a personal space for me to write on tactics and strategy, hobby tips, and my own progress in the hobby of 40k. Thanks for stopping by to check out the blog. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at robertchandler@gmail.com I always enjoy talking shop with other players. Thanks for checking out my blog.
