And I get things wrong myself. I have poured over the rulebook multiple times trying to memorize things and I always find new things in there it seems. The rule set is a complex one for sure. Knowing the rules is definitely one of the most important steps to becoming a good player.

Also, did you know that when you score a penetrating hit on a walker in combat it counts as 2 for the purpose of determining assault results? Little things like that are often overlooked but can be the difference in a game.

I'm glad you enjoyed the article and I should probably repost it on an annual basis you're right lol. In fact, maybe you should re-release it once a year to remind your readers of this, it's that significant.

In my group I guess I am the player my friends turn to when looking for a quick answer to a rules question. I like a lot of armies and will read tactics and rules on them even if I don't play them myself, which really helps. But like you said, even just the basic rulebook is filled to the brim with rules and exceptions, it's almost impossible to know EVERYTHING.

Just last Saturday I noticed that when casting a Focused Witchfire you only get to pick your target (like a precision shot) if your successfully harnessed warp charges EXCEED the warpcharges needed to cast the power in the first place. Crazy huh?

Oh and how for instance S3 can wound T6? Never realized that the table in the rulebook for comparing strength vs toughness has two "6+" columns.
